I’ve always been passionate about health. Whether it’s investing in fresh organic foods, or making time in my busy schedule for home cooking and regular exercise, I’ve always advocated for living a healthy lifestyle, and wanted to instill this in my future family. But life doesn’t always work out the way you plan it.

My husband and I were blessed with four beautiful children who unfortunately suffer from a strong aversion to food. On the surface, it seemed like they were just picky eaters. But because of sensory issues, our kids would oftentimes eat only once a day. It got so bad that they all weighed under the 1^st percentile. Our lives were consumed with trying to find anything they would eat, even if it meant going through a fast food drive-thru at 11 in the evening. What began as plans to focus on health became a neverending struggle to keep our children out of the hospital. For years we consulted with medical experts, nutritionists, and food therapists only to keep hitting dead ends. And on our journey, we learned that there were many who experienced the same problems we did.

Fortunately, through the years, we’ve learned to manage my children’s food aversion and create solutions to help fill in the nutritional gaps in their daily diet. With the help of GI specialists and nutritionists, we created Zapple as a solution for malnourishment of kids and adults.
